Raymond, eigentlich Georges Soulès [su'lɛs], französischer Schriftsteller, * Toulouse 11. 11. 1907, ✝ Nizza 26. 8. 1986; Ingenieur, 1945 verurteilt wegen Kollaboration, lebte bis 1953 in der Schweiz. Abellios Romane und Essays behandeln philosophische und religiöse Themen. Ähnlich wie A. Malraux versuchte er, die menschliche Geschichte von der göttlichen Offenbarung her zu begreifen (»Heureux les pacifiques«, Roman, 1946).
 
Weitere Werke: Romane: Les yeux d'Ezéchiel sont ouverts (1949); La fosse de Babel (1962); Visages immobiles (1983).
 
Essays: Vers un nouveau prophétisme (1947); La Bible, document chiffré (1950); Assomption de l'Europe (1954); La structure absolue (1965); La fin de l'ésotérisme (1973); Approches de la nouvelle gnose (1981).
